You can count on Town & Country Homes for long-term peace of mind. Every home is backed with the Atlantic New Home Warranty Program, a 7 Year Structural Warranty, plus extended product warranties by brand-name manufacturers that supply products used in your home.
Your warranty guarantees all workmanship and materials used in the construction of your home. Town & Country Homes, Prestige Homes or original material supplier will at their option repair or replace any workmanship and/or materials that prove to be defective under normal circumstances and use within the first year of occupancy.
The Atlantic Canada New Home Warranty Corporation enrolls your new home in an extended warranty program that provides major structural defect coverage for years two through seven of your home ownership.
Many materials used in the construction of your home such as windows, shingles, vinyl siding etc. have warranties that extend beyond the normal warranty period.
Everyone who builds with Town & Country Homes receives a Home Owner's Manual designed to answer many questions and prepare you for your new home experience. Our goal is to make this exciting time easier for you. In addition to guiding you through the process of how your home is built, this manual will also provide you with a description of our warranty program component by component, our performance standards and maintenance guidelines.
Your home is completely taped and crack-filled prior to shipment, with the exception of the matewall seams and openings. We use special reinforcing details throughout the home to minimize any potential drywall problems; however, as in any home, some cracking may occur. Town & Country Homes will make any required repairs to drywall at the time of delivery and will touch up the paint in repaired drywall areas only.
All of our homes are eligible for a one-time-only drywall touch-up service during the first year of home ownership. Prestige or a designated contractor will repair any drywall defects, but will touch-up the paint in the repaired drywall areas only. A complete touch-up kit is also supplied with each home to enable the homeowner to make small cosmetic repairs.
